Why we are here....or at least.....

Or at least, WHILE we are here....we should do what we can for others.

You know the Christians speak of 'tithing' http://www.answers.com/topic/tithing...initiator=CANS usually in the church situation. If you google you'd be surprised what implications it really has. Many progressive business successfuls swear it matters in life. I agree, although I also believe no one should dictate to others regarding this. It's an individual thing.

I bring this up here, because I think this forum came about for a reason much stronger than the disease itself and the individuals effected. I believe this will open the door, and already actually has, to get people to take notice that things have to change, and they will, with them or without them. Hopefully, med students and researchers will have a new attitude and sense of hope and new horizons in cure.

I showed a property yesterday (yes I'm a Realtor... and if I knew it was more than wearing pretty shoes and showing pretty houses, I may not have pursued it LOL) but I have found it to be a way of helping people. Any way....the woman was 45 and had a little girl at age 40. She developed " kidney disease" and my customer and I spoke to her for a long while. She said she prays to God and asks why God would give her a child at age 40 when she was now all alone without a husband and with a disease she will most likely die from. The state is trying to take her daughter from her because she has no help when she has to go to the hospital. Well, the woman I brought to the property told her about the local cool church (I actually used to go to... and still love the pastor, his mom, etc.........)and they will help. I also gave her my card and said to call me if she needed someone to take her very adorable daughter short notice or whatever she needs.

I was so upset about the "kidney disease" knowing it's not just 'kidney freaking disease' and wanted so much to be able to help and send her to someone who wouldn't just put her on a list for a new one.

I hate this social injustice the ignorance of the medical society has placed upon people like her and write off because they are so clueless and totally dismiss holistic approaches even though, hello, medicine is based on it, and I know she will probably die and the little girl will have no one (not on MY watch).

I guess I want to relay here that indirectly and as a result of this forum and disease itself, I really believe so much will happen for the good.

Kritters, I love this post. I love the part where I feel so connected to you....the sensitive side that is brutally honest about pretty shoes and such....so me....so, it's not all about me, but it made me smile - your transparency.

I love good shoes....Nordstrom the Rack and Tootsie Plohound have the best sales in the country. I just got 700 dollars worth of shoes for 37 at Saks off 5th in the Sawgrass Outlet.

I know, off topic, but a girl can be a girl even for a few sentences.

I wish I could relate to the shoe thing! But I wear a size 10 1/2 and am 5'10" tall. So even slight heels put me at over 6 feet tall! My tevas are my beautiment :P

I am also in real estate. Not that this has anything to do with Morgellons.

Also, everyone, we really really have to fight for a cure. This disease is scary and the children should not have to worry that this is going to bite them in the .....

My kids were one step from really really really getting sick from this. I don't know if they're okay for sure or I'm just wishing it on them. They are dusty and linty like me, but not as bad. Fibers come out of their hair and they both have straw white hairs. We spent the entire previous summer at my dad's which is where I got sick in the winter of '06/'07. Who knows. I have to pray for them and the others.

All I know is that if I cling to this, I will miss the opportunities to push them to achieve great things. I ride the entire family and overall, do not feel sorry for us...okay, when it's just you all and me, sometimes.
