Re: Antibiotics offer hope for Crohn's patients Good post LC. Don't know whether this adds anything to the topic or causes digression. However, I thought last winter maybe I had some form of Crohn's or colitis. There were gastro symptoms and I had thought then maybe the skin manifestation might have then been some blown of type of erethmya nodusum (it's skin manifestation). At that time I was still "in denial" and trying to follow Dan Rutz's and the Mayo clinic's advice to look for other diseases.
Colonoscopy and endoscopy did not find anything (of course I was on antibiotics and it could have masked any gut bacteria in the biopsy. My point is the antibiotic used most commonly for Crohn's is Flagyl. Many people have testified this drug helps very much with our symptoms. Currently it's the most potent tool in my regimen. Flagyl is used for the bacteria in Crohn's and also for colostrum difficile. CD bacteria is very toxic. We would all concur whatever opportunistic organism or thing impacting sufferers of our syndrome seems very toxic to us.
So what I am trying to say??? Book Book Book....Lick the book.... Who likes cheese....
Seriously, think my point is this antibiotic that helps with Crohn's, helps us. |
