folding proteins are called prions. everyone has these proteins in their brains. for unknown reasons a protein strand can become defective and fold. if this were a single occurance it probably would have little negligible effect, but instead it causes a domino effect for the other proteins. it can be a very slow process taking months to years for symptoms to present, sorta like alzheimers, or rapidly like mad cow disease. some feel that prions may be responsible for morgellons but it doesn't explain the fibers or worm like parasites people have, in my opinion. thats my understanding on the subject, anyway. hope that helps

Hello PPY, From my reading on Mad Cow Disease, (a friend in Phoenix has an aunt diagnosed with it)...which also makes me wonder how many other people in Arizona allegedly have it), there is conflict in two different camps on these prions. One, which IMHO based on everything else carcinogenic affecting human life is probably correct, is that the pesticides on the GRASS that the cows are being fed, along with the fact that cows are being forced to eat the carcasses of other DEAD COWS is causing the mutation proteins (prion). What the heck do they expect? (not only RUGBY players eat their dead ...sorry...sick pun)I wouldn't be at all surprised if there is such a thing as Mad Morgellons Disease. Kritters

mad morgellons disease? well i'm pretty pissed off personally. i think they call that late stage. mad morgellons is what you graduate to after you have completed stage one, scared and confused morgie. ![]()

Saw an article in Feb 2010 Science News about how scientists are deliberately creating prions to see if they can be useful in medicine. I just skimmed the article - didn't have time to read the whole thing - but basically it was saying that they've discovered that prions are not always bad, it really depends on how the protein folds. They've done experiments (on sea slugs) and found that prions can actually help improve memory. I also found this article from April 2009 about how common prions are and that they're very common in yeast. Prions Are Common, At Least In Yeast - Science News

I'm not interested in any new freak funk from science - I'll pass! I have always thought Morgellon's and Mad Cow were related. Bird Flu and Scrappie in sheep, too. The dizziness, the confusion, the grumpiness...Also, the Powers that Be hinted that Mad Cow was a problem from animals' infected feed. They never did say what exactly infected the feed, which I found suspicious years ago Pre-Morgellon's...I did a research paper on Mad Cow. Well, the 1979 Agrobacterium Pesticide patented by Bio-Care in Australia... Agrobacterium as a Suspected CAUSE - EPA documents have been recently updated!!! Read on Allen Kerr, their mad scientist who won the Nobel Peace Prize for his earth ruination. Dummy spread that all over the fields in Australia as an 'experiment' to invent another agrobac pesticide product for Bio-Care called Hay-Rite. Those idiots infected that whole country. Australia used to be a major cattle exporter to the U.K...(soon as they put IT on the hay, I think they infected the grass, the cows that walked on the fields, the birds that landed on the trees, the water that ran off when it rained). Earth Ruining Fools! Howie, I have a PDF from the Australian GOV that's conveniently been taken offline since I blabbed about it. I want you to have it, I've shared it all over town...It's super incriminating. It's too big to post, if anyone else wants to see this 'experiment' which no doubt ruined the other side of the globe as the 1979 pesticide was ruining the earth from this side - Please advise, I'll email. This is an Agrobac Must Read!

my thinking was that so many on this site have considered yeast (c albicans) as a possible connection to m. if prions are so common in yeast, why wouldn't prions be an issue if someone's system was overloaded with yeast? prions are apparently a survival mechanism of sorts -- it just seemed a possible connection if someone was trying to eliminate yeast from their system. i too have wondered what caused the whole mad cow thing to start. the later cases were due to cows being fed infected cow brains from other cows that died from it -- but it had to start from something. i remember seeing a documentary about some village somewhere where lots of the people got it, but it's sort of like the aids thing - no one ever really explains what caused the first case? i think maybe governments may have been experimenting with bio-weapons in some of these third world countries decades ago (never imagining that their bio-experimentation would live on). sort of like lsd - that was a bio-weapon created by the us govt.

I caught that years ago, Howie! I think it was in some lush jungle in maybe the '50's. Can't remember location. It's out there w/the CVJ Syndrome info.. I'm thinking maybe prion infections occur when we/animals consume any replicating DNA that isn't our own. (in the Angry cows - agrobac DNA) Howie, I read: Those folks ate the brains of their deceased relatives because they believed it was how to perpetuate their souls ![]() Sorry, Grandma - it's not happenin'. The buck stops when you do ![]()
