Default LONG BUT GOOD ARTICLE: THE BACTERIA REVOLUTION

This is an older article but very comprehensive. It talks of bacteria and its relation to disease. This is for those who have read alot on this subject but would really like more information. Summary: Bacteria IS the root cause of many diseases, Here is the link, yes it is VERY LONG: http://www.cbc.ca/ideas/shows/bacteria/bacteria.html (LC).

LC,
I don't mind that it's long. I look forward to reading it because I think there is really something to it. I'm now on disc 7 of "The Great Influenza" and have a better understanding and respect for the VIRUS. Since they're all microscopic critters....bacteria is something I want to understand as well. What is really striking me at this point is how we have been led to consider viruses, bacteria and fungus as practically insignificant, annoying nuances to our state of health, when in fact they are the cause of illness. How many times have we heard, "oh, it's just a virus"??? The book states that the virus is an enigma and serves no purpose in life other than to replicate itself and use the hosts' rna in order to do it. It's almost like it's an alien.

Too bad there aren't more medical doctors out there who feel the need to do some research as well. Perhaps if this disease hits closer to home with them, they'll be more motivated.

Whatever happened to that little document called, "the Hippocratic Oath" (esp. #3) the doctors are supposed to have professional responsibility toward?
