Although mercury fillings may not cause morgellons since there are some people who have no mercury fillings and have this disease, I do believe that mercury may be behind morgellons disease in some cases just as lyme is showing up frequently in many cases. One thing I believe is that everyone in industralized countries and now even in third world countries has is a toxic load, much of which is heavy metal of one sort or another, organophoshates, teflon and plastics--this probably stresses the immune system in those who are suseptible to morgellons leading to disease symptoms upon exposure to morgellons parasites/viruses/fungi/bacteria.
