Default Ques about sulfur in well water

Was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts about this ... I've basically been outwardly symptom free for a few weeks now, while knowing there was still some internal stuff that was being purged and eliminated internally.

I'm up at my family's place in the mountains and we have well water that has sulfur in it. From the first night I got here, my skin has been acting up -- no bugs or lesions but a little skin itching and more black specks (this had stopped). I'm not drinking the water ... just washing in it, doing dishes etc. Do you think it's the sulfur and is it a good or bad thing that more specks are coming out?

Thanks for any thoughts you guys have. ???

Elemental sulfur (in a variety of forms), sulfides, sulfites and/or mercaptans are commonly used ingredients in dermatologic or cosmetic compositions for the treatment of a variety of dermatological conditions. Various forms of sulfur, sulfides, sulfites and mercaptans are believed to have anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and anti-inflammatory functions. Sulfur, in its various forms, sulfides, sulfites and mercaptans are believed to kill parasites, such as mites, and microorganisms, including but not limited to bacteria, and thereby also suppress their endotoxins and exotoxins, all of which can be irritants that may contribute to the provocation of itching, redness and irritation that are characteristics of rosacea. Further, sulfur causes keratolytic/sloughing activity and may, therefore, remove irritants that are held by the sloughed cells, as well as smoothing and soothing the skin.

Hey Mary,
This is part of an article I just read..better on the outside than inside of your body..additionally stress and tension can cause a reoccurance of symptoms..keep your stress level down..suzzie

Mary
I notice a return in those symptoms when I have too be fully clothed and in shoes or socks. When doing dishes and getting legs wet something about the dish soap reacts. Is this your first time out for awhile. I think if the time for black specks appears it is a good thing to have them come out and be shed. Maybe that is the difference whether you get a lesion or not? It is hard when you are in a different environment. Stay Positive We miss you! I use sulfur soaps all the time to keep bugs away.

I used alot of sulfur right out of the gate. I ordered "Flowers of Sulfur" from a compounding pharmacy and mixed a 10% cream by mixing it with vasoline. I applied it all over and had a tremendous exit of things. It was during this treatment that I got, on slide, a louse that my Vet looked at and said "That a very unusual louse of some kind...wild animal...maybe flying squirrel, I just don't know" I still use 10% sulfur soap a couple of times a week...Linda

Thanks so much Suzzie, Michelle & Linda,

It was particularly difficult because a lot of my family are up here in our lake house. I had told them I had been symptom-free so when stuff started to surface again I was really stressing out. Also, this is the first time I've been swimming since the Morgellons started in the fall of last year.

Being in the water a lot seemed to help smooth out my skin but sitting in a wet bathing suit seemed to aggravate the fungal component. I just want this thing to be OVER.

Thanks so much for your support. This was a tough week -- I've been so isolated for so long that I didn't realize how stressful it was going to be sharing a house with a bunch of people ... and to have things pop out of my skin again. Good grief

Hooray for sulfur-ized well water! I've been here for a week and after a few days of a dreaded return of itching and black specks, both have subsided. Plus my skin is smoothing out -- even the rough spots on the bottom of my feet. The sulfur seems to be accelerating the ongoing internal purging of my remaining "lumpy" skin areas.

I just love these happy accidents!

Other bright note ... after months of feeling so tired and ill that I could not even leave the house, this past week I've been able to return to an active life again! Everyday I walk a few miles, kayak, swim, etc. I've never been so grateful for anything in my life. And I never could have gotten to this place without you guys. My deepest and most humble thanks.
