Hallelujah! What good news! I know you must be very excited. Congratulations and may it lead you to less worry about finances and better health over time (I wish that for all of us). I am so happy for you. It sounds hopeful then that others who have Morgellons will not be turned away using a Morgellons diagnosis to apply for disability, but I think that getting that diagnosis from a regular MD might be hard for most to obtain. Still every time another person gets disability based on Morgellons the path begins to be cleared for those who follow. It will also give us recognition for the illness with those in the medical profession (well some of them anyway). Now I am excited too!

I posted the judges decision on this site, FIRST ON THE LIST WAS MORGELLONS DISEASE and I was denied 2 times then won, In all it took 3yrs.

Not being able to get a MEDICAL diagnosis for any condition you have makes it near impossible to get SSDI. With the difficulties to merely acquire medical care and is even more evident that so will the attempt to successfully establish the claim for disability through the SSA.

Even if you have a diagnosis its still a difficult battle.

But somehow I did get approved on the first round for SSA disability. So it is not impossible.

Also, will mention that even though one may be prove to be medically disabled, they can deny your application for non-medical reasons as well. Meaning if you have not paid into the system with the required number of credits for your age bracket then it can be denied under those circumstances also.

One must work to pay into the system in order to get SSDI.
