| I recently started making my own Ginger Ale tonic. Lady Colorado and I were talking about it and I thought someone else might be interested in the recipe. It's very easy to make. You need a two liter coke bottle use a funnel or measuring cup with a spout to pour ingredients into it. In my first batch I used raw unprocessed sugar. In the second batch I used 2/3 cup of honey (Manuka Honey would be best) I used raw honey) and added some red pepper flakes. Here's how easy... 1 Cup sugar 2-4 tablespoons of grated ginger root (1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes this I added because I'm following an Alkaline anti fungal diet and red pepper is good for a host of things and I like spice!) 1/4 teaspoon of baking yeast just put the ingredients in the bottle and fill with distilled or spring water to about an inch from under the lid. Tighten the lid and let sit out in the room for 24-48 hours. Enjoy...Here's the web site I got the recipe from:http://biology.clc.uc.edu/fankhauser...er_Ale_Ag0.htm Prayers...Linda |

| I use ginger regularly, as a tincture, tea and to cook with (soup especially effective). For me it works like cumin as Lady Colorado mentioned (or at least I think it is LC who mentions cumin). Ginger is also an adjuvant, which means that it helps other medicine do their job better and assists with delivering them to their site of action. She is a good 'ol girl ![]() hummingbird
