Default PAPAYA POLTICE

Hey everyone,
OK...I've had a open ulcer and wound about the size of a quarter on my left arm for 7 weeks. I've had 3 dermatology appointments and a internal medicine appointment and have tried all the ointments, prednisone, cortisone, etc. I was reading a book by N.W.Walker D. Sc. about juicing which I have started doing. He wrote..."We have frequently seen the crushed pulp, including the skin, of the green papaya applied as a poultice to serious lacerations and the following day hardly more than the scar was apparent". I thought yeh, right... but why not? Yesterday I went to the Health Food Store and bought a papaya and late last night I put a crushed slice of it on the wounds and secured them with ace bandage. This morning when I took it off I tell you I almost cried... those horrible looking wounds were surrounded with baby pink, healing skin! The callouses around the ulcer and wound were virtually gone. Please, please give this a try. My response to this simple treatment was nothing less than astounding. Love, Prayers, Linda
P.S. I immediately felt better after application.

Hey everybody just wanted to let you know that yesterday the terrible ulcer on my arm closed up. I now has pink skin and is looking great. Last night was the first night I did not sleep with a slice of papaya on it. It looks like it is probably not going to scar. I actually filled back in. Just thought I'd remind you guys with ulcers that won't heal to give it a try! prayers...Linda

Linda, this is fantastic! Thanks for sharing it -- I love it when I hear stories like this about natural approaches. My very first post when I joined here a few months ago was about the great success I was having rubbing lemons on my skin, both in healing lesions and stopping itchiness. At that point I hadn't heard about the effectiveness of citric acid -- it was just a happy accident.

I then got carried away and started putting mashed up bananas on my skin and that helped, too. Perhaps the produce aisle in our grocery stores contain the very best treatments! Bravo!!

thanks so much Linda for this post, i wish to try i have scar on arm from nasty old lesion which turned into a hole for a month just because of a simple light bulb burn. it is ugly would like to see if makes go away. despite meds still scar and like a "hibernating lesion", sometimes get irritated . i wonder if the papaya works so well because of acidity, enzymes in the fruit or both. thanks a bunch, (LC).

LC,
The book I took it from said it works because of the enzymes in the fruit and skin. Buy the hardest and greenest papaya you can find.
prayers...Linda
