What's wrong with paying for out of the "system" testing?
Nothing "in the system" is showing much is it?
People have been dying from Lyme for thirty years or more AND it's still a political calculation.
All of those folks have ended up with a new generation of disease like CF, Fibromyalgia, Alzheimers, Multiple Sclerosis...
Where does it end?

Oh, yeah, Lamb, I am sure we are all eager to pay hundreds of dollars for tests which may in the end be absolutely meaningless. Please tell me where the line starts so I can be sure to avoid it.

Also have you ever noticed that medical research into new drugs and lab tests usually involves volunteers who are paid a small stipend for being guinea pigs for the research and are expected to pay (gasp!) nothing to the researchers?

About the mentioned diseases, including ours, I share your frustration...
