I dont know LC,,I cant find anything real bad about it,,a type of potasium salt,,basicly that can,increase oxygen flow,,and raising catecholamine levels ,,sounds alot like some of the same effects caffiene..
I do remember about ten years ago,,in the back of magazines ,,they had some companies,,where you could get cheap "speed",,we called them footballs..
They contained(main ingredient) was phenylalanine.....
They would speed you up for 6 hours ,,then give you a terrible headache,,,,they were soon pulled...from market..
I have always wondered if this was a trial study by drug companies to see any documented effects,,,were observed..
I mean they had the name and address of the person ordering these "legal drugs",,,which in turn meant that they could clearly monitor these people..
If they were hospitalized because of these "drugs",,I am sure they(the companies distributing these) knew..
Put it this way,,,I know that Vinpotcetine would produce a little "kick" anyways,,like caffiene..
If it produces very small quantities phenylalanine,,then I would give it a yes..but not large..

This would be good for brain fog...and until we can get the cause of the fog out of us,,some may have to resort to using such as this..to function..

Have you tried this supplement? In some ways it sounds similar to ginko biloba (which they now say does not improve memory) but better. Ginko definitely thins blood (I had personal experience with this - kinda scary).

Some of the other positive effects, like relieving neck and shoulder stiffness, make it something I'd want to try since I have both of those.

It also says vinpocetine somehow it helps your ears which is strange. The side effects I listed because I like for people to be fully informed. The main reason if caution is used being mindful of interactions and side effects it increases oxygen bloodflow to the brain.

As a matter of fact I AM taking a doctor prescribed supplement which has vinpocetine and some herbs in it. It is a special supplement called NeurO2 by Apex Energetics. It is weird says on bottle ony a doctor can give it to you ("professional use only").

I have been taking it for two days and I have noticed mentally I feel more alert but not hyper. I am trying a bottle for a month and it also says is should be takien with food 60 percent more effective that way.

So it is best to have with a bite of something a cracker a carrot some sort of good munchie. My doctor said they were forgetting things and they did research and take the supplemnt themselves and that it works for them. They seem to be pretty on the ball to me!


What does it have in it? I am researching some of the other components as well. I am a curious sort and I like to know what I am taking.

20 MG riboflavin, 300 mg feverfew extract, 200 mg butchers broom extract, 100 mg ginko bilboa extract, 40 mg of cayenne extract, and 10 mg of vivo pocetine 1 capsule 3x daily. Says can take as many as 3 caps 3x daily but only doin 1 cap 3x daily as there are 90 caps in a bottle.

I need to research the feverfer and butcher's broom I have heard of these herbs but have not done this yet. I am taking this with a doctor's supervision.

I still take Serenity (natural litum orotate) 1 pill 3x daily. I have been taking it for over a year wiht NO negative side effects. It is wonderful to read books to remember things. I am hoping this new supplement works well too but I had not posted on it as it is too early to tell.

Cayenne pepper has MANY health benefits and I like eating it on my food instead of black pepper.

Ginko does thin the blood and not a good idea to be taking it if you need surgery.

So far this supplement gives me NO headache and no crash like caffeine. I cannot take anything "speedy" as I have hypertension and high blood pressure I take medicine for. I learned that lesson with ginseng capsules and green tea extract capsules I found out they were NOT a good option for me.

What I mean by being more mentally alert is that my thinking is more clear. Not hyper feeling regarding the body thank goodness. Of course only two days in only time shall tell. As said earlier taking the NeurO2 with a doctor's supervision.

This supplement DOES seem to adress brainfog by oxygenating the brain and some of the other components I listed in the prior post seem possibly beneficial as the MRF says we have low potassium and magnesium blood serum with Morgellons Disease.

It will not be for another 6 to nine months before I start using additional supplementation to lessen my dependence on antibiotics with doctor supervision. The next visit will be blood testing to make sure my liver and kidneys are healthy taking my current medicines. The next visit will be a battery of bloodtests to see how my immune system is deficient and what supplementation is needed.

I will have to know the costs and also what happens next. Their ultimate goal short term is to make patients less dependant on antibiotics and long term if lucky to help them to funtion more normally and not need them at all.

There is a gamble to any type of treatment however I have been doing much better than when I first was sick. Life is more tolerable now even though I am not cured. Hopefully in the future this could be beneficial to other patients with Morgellons Disease.

I have to leave for the support group meeting, so will post more later on this. I think it will be an important addition to the "arsenal" - I think it may do more than improve mental functioning; it may help destroy the Morg-crap, as it seems that added oxygen has that effect (like peroxide).

Thanks SS for that link. I paid 28.00 to try it for a month form the doctor. I agree oxygen is important. Like peroxide and I also drink lots of water. I had nad no idea something was out there that was natural that could do this.

I will let everyone know how I feel about this supplement after a month. One difference I have noted is that i no longer wake up clumsy and half awake. I do not feel so tired.

Also when I do start the new protocol (provided it is not too expensive) and the results of my immune sytem testin in 6 -9 months time I will share that in a seperate thread.

In the meantime I just take things a day at a time and I wait.
