Hi everyone, Thanks to dizzy dame, I'm trying this posting stuff again. Hope it works. I was reading about the uses of Bamboo on Google the other day. Would you believe someone on another forum posted about Bamboo Sheets giving off far-infared rays and when they slept on the sheets and a pillowcase the critters came out of their body by the 1000.s They said they had a herx like NEVER before so if you try them, use only the pillow case first and later add the sheet or vice versa. The linens are made of 100% organic,Bamboo material. and are very soft. Guess where? Yup! China is helping get rid of these critters, Wild! The sheets can be reactivated by hanging them in the sun. Never, put them in the dryer. Always hang to dry. I found the sheets at a nationwide store Bed, Bath and Beyond $49.00 on sale and with the 20% off coupon they are affordable. I think Target Stores also have them. It was reported that bamboo fabric will be the fabric of the future and most clothing will be made from bamboo fabric. I would be most interested in what all of you think. I am going to try a sheet. Then, check into clothing, because cotton is so full of pesticides now. Bamboo is naturally organic and earth-friendly and has its own built-in pesticide. A percentage of sales is given back to help the Pandas survive. All great reasons for buying products made from bamboo. It was exciting to find all kinds of things made from bamboo, clothing furniture, glass cups, bamboo material, etc.

Wow Gator it sounds pretty fascinating I did not know they made fabric from bamboo. Here is little about bamboo fabric: What is Bamboo Fabric? . I also found this link which has a page of bamboo fabric products: Bamboo Rayon Clothing and Fabrics . Bamboo fabric can also be bought by the yard from Hartz fabric and many other places. (LC)

| I was just looking at Bamboo socks, but before purchasing anything I like to come here and do a seach first to see if there is any needed info. Glad I do this. So, Rayon is not a good thing I take it. The socks I was looking at have 80% Viscose from Bamboo 17% Polyester 3%Elastane in them. Here is the link. Bamboo Socks - SockShop Plain Bamboo Knee High Socks at SockShop.co.uk - Go On Treat Your Feet with Online Women's Bamboo Socks I was actually looking for seamless trouser socks for women. I bought some 10 years ago but don't remember where. They were nylon. Right now, no matter what my socks are made of I wear them inside out. I don't like that seam by my toes. It always tends to unravel. It looks to me like anything I wear begins to have fibers which tend to stick out at seams, no matter what they are made of, and this is al seams. It makes me wonder what the seam is made of; material with spandex in it to give it some stretch?? I am leery of Spandex. I think it has some involvement with "M", but that is pure speculation in my part. So, any, ANY LINKS for clothes would be so very much appreciated as it is very, very cold outside. Thanks for whatever help anyone can give.

I found this ProductionBamboo charcoal is made of bamboo by pyrolysis process. According to the types of raw material, bamboo charcoal can be classified as raw bamboo charcoal and bamboo briquette charcoal. Raw bamboo charcoal is made of bamboo body such as culms, branch, and root. Bamboo briquette charcoal is made of bamboo residue, such as bamboo dust, saw powder, etc. by compressing the residue into certain shape sticks and carbonizing the sticks. There are two kinds of equipment for carbonization, one is brick kiln, and the other is mechanical. [edit] Uses Bamboo charcoal is mainly used as fuel for cooking and drying tea in China and Japan. Most bamboo charcoal for fuel is a bamboo briquette charcoal, the rest of which is raw bamboo charcoal. Bamboo material has extraordinary micro-structure: it produces high absorptive capacity after carbonization, and becomes more effective after activation.[citation needed] Bamboo charcoal can be used for purifying water, eliminating organic impurity substances and smells. Drinking water sterilized with chlorine is to be treated with bamboo charcoal to remove the residue chlorine and chlorides. In addition, a process involving bamboo charcoal has recently been developed in Taiwan using nanotechnology to combine with silver and produce a textile fibre. [edit] Benefits Bamboo charcoal is known to have high porosity. Various impurities or foreign matter will be absorbed on the wide surface area of the charcoal. When air passes, and if humidity is high, the charcoal will adsorb the moisture, and air will be converted to dry. If the air is too dry, then the charcoal will discharge its moisture, thus adjusting the humidity in the air.[citation needed] Bamboo vinegar or pyroligneous acid is extracted when making charcoal and is used for hundreds of treatment on almost all aspects. This liquid contains 400 different chemical compounds and can be applied in many purposes such as cosmetics, insecticides, deodorants, food processing, and agriculture. Its functions are to expel smell, kill bacteria, keep health and to nourish facial and body skin.[citation needed] There is some evidence that adding Bamboo charcoal or Bamboo vinegar to the diets of fish[1] or poultry[2] may increase their growth rates.

The eight magical results of the bamboo charcoal: First, absorb the harmful chemical material, utilize microorganism to make it innocuity. Second, supply with natural minerals. Third, prominent deodorization result. Fourth, adjust the wet result (the double impact of moisture absorption and give out the moisture). Fifth, separate harmful electromagnetic wave and helium. Sixth, produced the warm effect of the far infrared ray. Seventh, utilize the anion to prevent aging, purifying the air. Eighth, narrow the molecule bunch (group of moisture) and adjust the fluctuation.

Health Benefits of Organic Bamboo Vinegar Because of its natural abundance of organic nutrients, organic bamboo vinegar is an especially good method to pull out toxins in the body. Although acetic and formic acids are often found in bamboo vinegar, it is a relatively mild compound that has a variety of health benefits that especially aid in detoxification, sanitation and improvements in circulation. However, it is vital that the vinegar is only used externally as it is inedible. But don't worry; the liquid rarely causes skin irritations. Scientific reports show that bamboo vinegar can help reduce many toxin-related ailments. Here are just a few: •Softens Skin •Repels Insects •Relieves Itching •Reduces Foot Odor •Aids in Sanitation •Relieves Athlete's Foot •Improves Blood Circulation •Eliminates Inflammation •Expels Unnecessary Waste

I used detox foot pads with Bamboo vinegar charcoal as a main ingredient. I know there is a lot of controversy about whether these pads work, but when I used them they initially were very black and "oozy" in the morning. Over time, they got lighter and drier in the morning. That was proof enough to me that they pull crap out of the body. There have been other discussions about bamboo on this board. One is the "FarInfrared is the b" but there are others. It's good stuff!SS
