Well From what Dr. Harvey told me it was a combination of factors. One he said was genetics being passed down through generations. Interesting. He also mentioned toxic exposre as a possible factor.


Really it is like winning the negative lotto: having everything line up in the right combination at the wrong time and bingo you are sick. If this disease was strictly person to person the whole world would be sick by now.


I also think many walk around unknowingly with components of this disease. I have made no one sick. More really environmental exposure, shared genetics and other things really.


I refuse to be chicken little declaring the sky has fallen. Too late for that really anyways. I have had Morgellons Disease show me the scary mask so many times the joke has gotten old.


I refuse to live in fear. Awareness is one thing. However I will NOT to lay down and give up. Feeling sorry for myself or indulging in negative feelings is a luxury for healthy people can enjoy. Simply put I care but stress kills.

I will say that of all the IV therapies DMSO interests me the most.

Yeah - I agree - we all have the same thing, but expressed a bit differently. Like AIDS - caused by the same thing, same thing happens to the immune system, but the expression can vary from person to person - shingles, Kaposi's sarcoma, pnuemocystic pnuemonia, etc.
The consequences, like Candida, for example, need to be treated, but the underlying cause also has to be treated. Unfortunately for us - we don't know for sure what the underlying cause IS - except it is most likely a toxin. So detoxification strategies are helpful.
How long can we continue to be ignored? God cannot be happy about this.

Baraka - You really should get copies of all lab work and keep records. I have all mine going back ten years. Of course, it wasn't until a few years ago that I started having more unusual blood work done as I started to have weird things happen. If not for your information, at least to compare with us so that we can try to figure things out.

LC - I really liked your post and your attitude. I can't wait till I get where you are. I'm still scared of doing a lot of things, mostly because I've gotten a lot better and am afraid to take chances on "whatever" that might make me more symptomatic again. The place I have to get to in my own mind is that I am trading any chance I have at having some normalcy and enjoyment for so-called security.
I REALLY REALLY want to go to that conference next month but I'm afraid of dirty planes, hotel rooms with chemicals used in them, people with dirty hands going through my luggage, etc, etc. It's nuts and I have to come to the place where I say EFF it! If I get worse, so be it...at least my quality of life is better!!!

as usual, you express yourself so well and make some really incredibly valid points IMO.

Here's my 20 cents. Say EFF it. you are around my age, I think and I've decided we have a choice to either be controlled by IT or NOT. I choose NOT.

I KNOW you have the capacity to overcome, probably more than I do. You've had some experiences I haven't but it's all relative. You've got it, girl. Use it.

My thinking here at this point is that whatever caused Morgs in us has done its job and moved on to hell. It's done. No matter what other 'average' organism wants to join the club, it'll be like one of those high-end night clubs in LA and NY where you need to know somebody to get in. Morgs is at the door and it's the disease Nazi. (anyone familiar with Seinfeld's 'soup nazi'???.) It's done. There ain't no other critter that can stand up to the super Morgs critter, so as long as you keep your blood more alkaline than acid, don't sweat the small stuff.

I do not believe for a moment that you will catch this without fluid transfer or birth. The reason your family has signs is, one of you brought it with you in your system, the other was infected, then children were born. Women can almost pinpoint the time they are afflicted by a change in their perfect menstrual period and other factors involved with their vaginal condition, such as internal dryness, itching, pain during sex, and other items. If you think back in time and you CAUGHT this from your partner the situations would have evolved over a long period, not the day after the birth of it in your body. Think back, you will find that situation. I have had quite a few lovers, I am in contact with all of the important, long term females I was ever with, except one that is. Most everyone of them are having issues, most of them are MUCH younger than I am, so time will tell the whole story. Here is a short list of what I can remember, complaints of vaginal pain, yeast infections, change in their perfect menstrual periods, alopecia, thyroid, fibramialgia, skin red spots,carrple tunnel, eyelash parasites follicular overgrowth, one actually developed epileptic seizures and her children thus now have problems,this is what I know of. I went to doctors all my life being tested for this and that, you all know the outcome, I was as strong and healthy as a horse. That was a fallacy I contribute to MY need to believe the good doctors. WE KNOW now that their continual assertion of perfect health was pure inadequate health care from people that care nothing of human life but only their bottom line. There are good doctors that will care for us, its just hard to find that 5% out of 100%.
