LC, This is an interesting site. I wonder if the Dirt Doctor knows about how corn has been manipulated genetically. I guess a thing to do would be to see how it works on the trees or other external things, and if they don't die, to try it on ourselves .(check out how the dirt(y) docs pants get really tight when he sits down )Kritts

Hi Kritts and all I hope you are well. I am sure at this time there is very LITTLE which is not genetically modified (or tainted) in the USA if it it something consumable at this time. Or worldwide for that matter if one considers cross pollination wind drift etc. I truly doubt there is anything "pure" anymore. I myself posted on Monsanto long ago in a blog no one really read. Even Papaya falls into GMO territory yet it helps us. Talking of GMO papaya from some of my favorite people the Organic Consumers Association: GE Papaya Causing Plenty Problems For Hawai'i . I can share why I posted this. I know someone with Morgellons Disease that has a lesion problem on their privates. Not a female either. If it was a female then a vinegar and water douche with iodine might help like it did me. They have had a lesion there over a year and used a myriad of things to no avail. Even both natural and traditional doctors. In that area most things will burn. Silver, anti fungal creams grapefruit seed extract you name it they have used it. Their problem involves black mold where the lesion is. When I searched on black mold I found this site. In other words I am trying to find something which will not burn overly so which adresses black mold. If I worried about everything I ate, drank or intook as a supplement I would be dead. I do try to research as much as can. If we listened to the Native Americans we might still have pure things around. It is I agree good to be aware. It is also counterproductive to live in fear. Unfortunately on some levels we have to adapt. As far as allergies most anything poses a risk. So if anyone would like to try this (being aware of the possible benefits and risks)and let me know of their results I would be most appreciative. I also posted this because some people are poor and perhaps it could be of benefit. (LC) Last edited by ladycolorado; November 2nd, 2008 at 02:11 PM.

LC, I wouldn't describe myself or others who are doing research to find out what, in fact, is causing and contributing to our diseases, "living in fear". My question, rather, is in regard to the efficacy of the cornmeal which would be based on how it has been genetically altered. What was spliced into it and out of it, and whether or not the anti-fungal properties remain intact. No one is questioning your motives for bringing this information to the site. While I appreciate all information I find along with that which others find and bring to this site, I reserve the right to raise questions regarding how, in light of our particular situations, these remedies will effect us. Good point. Most everthing we use should be looked at and evaluated. On that I agree. (LC) Last edited by ladycolorado; November 2nd, 2008 at 02:10 PM.

Hmmmm...I have to go to the health food store today. I'll look to see if organic cornmeal is there. I know that most corn & soy is GMO, but organic is still available (though likely contaminated). SS

Organic food - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "Organic foods are produced according to certain production standards, meaning they are grown without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizers, human waste, or sewage sludge, and that they were processed without ionizing radiation or food additives.[1] Livestock are reared without the routine use of antibiotics and without the use of growth hormones. In most countries, organic produce must not be genetically modified." Note: "IN MOST COUNTRIES, organic produce must not be genetically modified". Do you trust the US to be the gm police? I sure do not. So, the point I'm making here is to be able to trust that 'certified organic' means 'certified organic'. Call me picky, call me a skeptic. I trust no one and nothing to make my decisions for me. I do think certified organic cornmeal is worth a shot at this point. Thanks to LC for bringing the link to our attention. Kritts |

I DID find this link where organic seeds can be obtained: Organic seeds, seed saving, heirloom seeds, un-treated seeds, pollinated seeds, open-pollinated seeds, organic seed suppliers . I LOVE the Organic Consumers association. I saved this link to favorites so my folks can purchase better seeds when they want to grow stuff next year. I am not sure about corn but I guess we just have to find the best stuff we can. Too bad I do not have a hydroponic unit. That would be cool to grow small things in perhaps. (LC)
