| I wish to share what I used to gain my cognitive skills back. It also helps with mood and memory. It had no side effects, interactions or withdrawls. It does not require a prescription. Only a tiny amount goes to the brain. There is NO toxic buildup in the body. It is a safer, natural form of lithium, called Lithium Orotate. (it is NOT like its scarier synthetic RX counterpart). The brand I use is called Serenity. I do not sell it. It was formulated by Ronald Reagan's former doctor, a naturopath. I know others who have used Serenity who have Morgellons Disease also lithium orotate with good results. If you have a naturopathic doctor you might ask them about lithium orotate. I would mainly have a problem with mood the day before my period. I think Lyme and Morgellons Disease have a one month cycle, it could also be hormones as well. My medicines have helped me regain a good part of my cognitive abilites. However I was not at pre disease levels from them. I found Serenity on this very board when researching for a former member, Friski when she was upset about having brain fog and forgetting things. I had searched under brain supplement. Serenity was a top rated one, so of course I was interested. So I tried some Serenity (lithium orotate). It was very strange because of how quickly it worked for me. The first day I was the same no change. The second day I was astonished to discover my mood, my memory were at pre disease levels! I did not feel weird or funny. Just BETTER. What was even more astonishing was how it has a residual effect to where it seems you can even do less than the three pills recommended a day. I take two a day now. When I have run out of it I am still okay for awhile but when completely out of my system well yes start to notice my memory less sharp, etc. It does indeed seem to help memory. I would if anyone wishes to try either serenity or lithium orotate to give it at least a week. I know with Serenity if you do not like it you can send it back. Although it can be purchased without a prescription, you can consult you doctor. You should anyway whenever using naturals. I will say YES I did talk to my doctor and they were happy they said to know there was a safer natural form of lithium, this lithium orotate. They were not worried about intereactions with my Diovan for blood pressure. There were none. Here is a Nextag page with results for where to purchase lithium orotate online. It is a simple supplement. It is MUCH cheaper than the Serenity. I am first and foremost an advoacte for the poor. Here is the nextag link with results for lithium orotate: Lithium Orotate Supplement - Vitamins & Nutrition - Compare Prices, Reviews and Buy at NexTag - Price - Review . Now this is the link for Serenity I use, you can get a free trial bottle: Feel Serenity - Official Website - www.feelserenity.com . If anyone tries or has tried the Serenity, or lithium orotate please share your experiences. I would also like to hear from any that want to try it how they do. Many Thanks, (LC) |

| I also wanted to add that I love what grows in the garden here too, in particular the spearmint, it makes for most excellent tea. Figs are a favorite as well. Unfortunately it shall be winter soon. (LC) |

| Hi, Lady Colorado: That product looks interesting. Do you know if it's like ginko or a serotonin-type product? I would love to improve my memory!! Thanks, Faith |

| LC, have you seen or read about Juliette Levy, lady from England who traveled with gypsies learning the ways of herbs? I just saw a wonderful video on her life. Juliette of the Herbs. From the bottom of my soul I belive we can all be healed of anything. Soon enough we will be without fear and disease. |

| Faith no it is a little different than seretonin or ginko. Seretonin is a natural brain chemical and ginko is an herb. I shall say lithium orotate REALLY helps with memory. Lithium orotate is a type of lithium salt often sold as an over-the-counter dietary supplement. I am able to write poetry again. At one time I was barely able to spell, think or remember things. Antibiotics do not cure us, they merely make the disease lay down some. At least that is what Dr. Harvey told me in a phone consultation once. It does seem to help some with inflammation as well. Physical changes to our brains occur with Morgellons Disease. Chronic pain actually changes the way our brains work. 50 percent more of our brains are used in addition to the small area normally used to do simple daily tasks. Also a chronic pain brain with this 50 percent more used has NO resting periods like a normal brain. No wonder we get tired. Neurotoxins flood the brain. The brain like the rest of our bodies suffers from inflammation too. Unfortunately we have a hellish disease. The twenty plus minute memory blackouts I used to have, the foot drop, muscles giving out, all the pain, body tremors, falls and loss of sensation in my right shin was pretty scary for me. To have a sharp memory again, to be able to write well like I used to is a good thing. (LC) Last edited by ladycolorado; October 7th, 2009 at 02:14 AM. |

Natalie yes in herbs lie much healing. Cumin and black cumin helps to restore my digestive system. Many medicines are derived from plants. My grandfather was a pharmacist. He had an old pharmaceutical book from 1890 with color illustrations of plants and herbs. They are indeed a medicine cabinet. ![]() (LC) Last edited by ladycolorado; March 20th, 2009 at 05:12 AM. |

Cool stuff reading that book huh? Sounds like Edgar Cayce stuff. Glycothymoline anyone? Lol It sounds alot like us Morgs people are finding the simple things in life. Maybe we are to share these ways with others in this hustle bustle of a world. |

| I want to add there was a recent book called The top Ten Lyme Disease Treatments which site natural lithium orotate supplement for Lyme Disease. It is useful to retain cognitive function (i.e. thinking and memory). Here is a link describing this new book and it mentions the naturopathic supplement lithium orotate: About Us - BioMed Publishing Group . (LC) |
