| yo! hold the phone Patrice!!! You think your chicks would be aghast at the thought of chicken soup but it's okay to use her unborn babies for pudding? I dunno............better ask. ![]() Kritts |

| Hi Pat, I was convulsed with laughter at your post! You, girl, are wicked funny. So crack me some eggs. That pud sounds fabulous. If you would pm me the recipe for that I could make it over the holidays...D'ya think the chicks will get angry that I would be using potential chicks for the pud? I mean they won't tell their US cousins to come around squawking at me house will they? And maybe pecking at me door? Love the sound of all the ingredients you add to the pud. Sounds luscious. ![]() best to ya, tcm

| Now Kritt hold your horses ...these are virgin chicks they have never seen a rooster never mind been near one. ![]() I'm not getting into the abortion debate we've got that raging in the uk as I speak.I'll have you know that if I don't get to the eggs quick enough the damned squirrel steals them. And all my chucks willingly give up their eggs cos they get a stroke and praised for laying -we counsel our hens here -we have been brainwashed to do this-we are a caring country would arrest us if we didn't.The hens always look proud of their achievement especially when they get chopped grapes for their hard work.Anyway part of my therapy with them was to make them see that having offspring is a thankless task and more beaks to feed would mean less food for them. ![]() Yes tcm will pm you recipe. Its very luxurious. My vet said 'Oh this is lovely-just the thing to have at a dinner party' I cracked up at the thought of morgs sat at the table spoon in hand waiting for the pudding.I mean dinner parties, what are they? what are visitors any more to my humble abode-nil. I mean look at the pic of my trifle dish -the THING on it.Course I'm going to have folk round for dinner-I suppose I could always say the morgs floating in it was nutmeg. ![]()

| Hi Pat, If you would like a nutmeg grinder, I will be glad to send you mine. Make sure though that you thoroughly freeze dry the morgs before putting them in the grinder. Otherwise it tends to clog. ![]() I have heard of spoiled children, but this is the first time I have ever heard of spoiled chickens (well, not literally of course, in case there is any confusion). And now you are lining up all the morgs at a dinner party, spoon in hand, to eat your extra specially spiced pud. Sounds so good, I just want to be invited soon, meet all the lovely folks there. They sound so lively. So fascinating, and I am sure they each have their very own sparkle. I can even bring my special variety of black speckled spice for the entree, don'tcha know? Yum. tcm

| According to Western thought autumn will not arrive until September, but according to my Chinese Almanac it is now autumn (it officially started on August 7). The prediction was that it would be hotter than normal during the two weeks following this date. Autumn is lung time in TCM. Autumn will bring with it complaints associated with the lung: asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia (we have just seen a celebrity die of pneumonia, in the time the Chinese say is lung season), and cough as autumn is the dying season. At this time it is advised to introduce more sour foods into the diet. This article discusses what foods may help the body and especially the lungs at this time of the year: Acupuncture.Com - Autumn: Time for Sour Flavors - October 2007 There are quite a few smokers I am aware of here who have morgellons. Especially in Lung time the lungs will be vulnerable to catching whatever is going around. This is even more true for smokers. Smoke is very drying to the lungs and this is also the dry season. Too much dryness can damage lungs. The following is a TCM soup which may help clean out the lungs. It can be made vegetarian style, as per the additional comments below the recipe itself: Lung Cleansing, Nutritious Watercress Soup - Good For Smokers « Welcome to Happyhomemaker88’s Virtual Home Here is a simple recipe for "Change of Season" soup, requiring the addition of just four herbs to the basic recipe. As is noted in the discussion if you already have a cold or flu do not use this until you have recovered from the illness, as the tonic herbs can drive illness deeper into the body (sort of what herbalist say when people take antibiotics too often). The herbs may just be used as an herbal tea drink or to make it taste better follow the suggestions for using an herbal chicken broth (or a vegetable broth) and additional vegetables to make it more palatable and increase the nutritional value of the chicken soup. Even my Western herbal instructor mentioned adding a few pieces of astragalus to her soups: Change of Season Soup Recipe Another version of this type of soup recipe: Chinese Herbal Soup One source of TCM bulk herbs. If you have a China town nearby the bulk herbs should be easy to find: 1st Chinese Herbs* Bulk Herb supplier |

| Now you just stop it with the chicken soup.We went down that road before,LOL. Anyway nearly all chickens have herpes in the shape of Mareks,d'ya really want to eat that.Maybe chick soup was good for folk before the chicks took on all these diseases, but I wouldn't risk it now,e coli, coccidiosis, gumboro, newcastle disease the list goes on and on.Have a nice bit of lamb or beef instead,or vegetarian, but soak in salt water first.\lol

| Great recipes for soup TC! I am a soup lover; used to make it constantly. I've read articles where people ask what it is with chicken soup that is so healing. I figger it's the salt and heat plus psychological comfort. Pattycake, I'm bummed. I love chicken. Do you think organic would make a difference? Hey WE have herpes too. What's another strain among friends. Party! You don't see the chickens cutting out human chicken noodle soup do ya? Anyway, my herpes, lyme, fungi will kick the tar outa the new herpes in town. LOL xo Kritts |
