I've been playing around with herbs also. Thought Cat's Claw (Samento) helped somewhat; though I haven't tried the Samento brand yet. However, Gotu Kola contains a similar active ingredient to Cat's claw and Gingko, plus more benefits:
- Releases Nitric Oxide (like calcium channel blockers used for circulation problems) relaxing blood and dilating blood vessels for more oxygen
- Acts as a strong inhibitor of keloid (scar tissue formation)
- Acts a mild diuretic removing excess fluid in tissue
- Very highly regarded in my Alt. Med. book for treatment of scleroderma and connective tissue disorders
- Used historically to treat leprosy and skin infections
Rest assured, there is no element of "Cola" or caffeine stimulant. While I haven't found in Wal-Mart, one should readily find in any chain vitamin store or local health food shop. Shouldn't be very expensive.
Myself, played with a lot of herbs, however, I think this was the best for me.
Let me know how you make out.
