| Here is a very informative article on Lyme and it's treatment with Samento. I know this is not a new topic but I am not sure if this particular link has been posted. I learned alot. The link to Dr Townsend has blood work information. Next Dr I see I am going to request that his suggested lab be used. http://www.samento.com.ec/sciencelib...endhowens.html prayers...Linda |

| Linda I believe that is Central Florida research lab. I have been fighting with my doc to get my tests sent there. They argued that all labs are 'equal'......NOT! I think they are finally going to do it. The problem is that Central Florida only tests for borelia right now- not for any co-infections, so another fight to get those tests.......... I have read this article before and am convinced that lyme is much more prevalent than test results reveal bnecause test results are so inaccurate. I spoke to a friend tonight, another friend's wife kept struggling with fatigue and pain, etc. They had to fight to get a Lyme test and to get it done at a half-way accurate site. Sure enough she has lyme. She recently had a baby and it has problems also. I think this is rampant and doctors are not diagnosing it and tests are not detecting it. Linda

| I think the mention of cow milk was very interesting. I know for a fact that most people have no idea what is allowed in pastuerized cow milk. Bovine milk protein cells are directly related to the juvenile diabeties epidemic. It could be that there has been something similar in transmission terms...Linda |

| I'm very lucky that I have a doc willing to help me in most ways I request (within reason). I was going to send some bloodwork to IgneX but have been waiting for a "spare" $700 (there are a number of combinations of tests they offer). I still have to pay for the last blood work I had I did think I may go for the Bowen RIBb instead but last I looked they didn't check for Babesia and that's one thing I want to check for.I can get some TOA free cats claw at my local "Vitamin Cottage" called Savemento (I think). I stopped using it a few months ago, may pick it back up again. Seems like nothing costs less than $25 for a week or two... Its not that I'm all about the money, but I'm pretty spent out ![]() Thanks for the info.. k |

| I used Cat's Claw for months and when I stopped I had quiet a few symptoms return. So, I think it helps too but today I ordered Samento for 38 bucks. Whatever....between the gallons of vinegar, pounds of salt, enormous papayas and etc, etc, etc.....the grocery store thinks I'm a freak I'm sure....I just smile and say I'm making pickles...Linda |

| redibooks, Please read this page for a discussion of cats claw which states that TOA free cats claw (samento) may just be a marketing ploy. If so, you could afford to buy a lot more cats claw in bulk from this site for a lot fewer dollars and a lot more treatment at more reasonable price (though you will have to cook the bulk herb to make a tea--they also have capsules which you may buy and I believe they may have made it into an extract too). Raintree Nutrition has a good reputation for rainforest herbs which are affordable and which are harvested with a thought to sustaining the rain forest. You might like to check out some of their formulas (in easy to use capsules) too, such as the A-P formula for parasites and the Skin-P for skin (and parasites). http://rain-tree.com/ccnews.htm Another reputable site is: http://www.wholeworldbotanicals.com Herbs can be used economically from the bulk raw state if properly prepared. If you can take an herbal course which will help you learn how to make your own herbs at much lower prices than commercial formulas--many of these are much more potent as well.

| Another source for Cat's claw by the pound is: http://www.herbspicetea.com/scripts/...EARCH_LETTER=C It's 6.70 a pound. At this company there is a 40.00 minimum order or there is a 10.00 handling fee. It would be really easy to spend 40 dollars here though. Their "Love Tea" just tastes great. Their prices on Stevia are really good too. Thanks for the info on the Hype I should have known that was a good possibility...Linda |

| There are so many good resources that are posted on this website. I wonder if Franky would consder a section just for products as long as it is not someone selling it (maybe it can't be a newbie posting it) just to make it easier to find stuff at decent prices. Many times I have recalled someone posting about a product and tried to find it and not been able to find the post. I know I always post websites that i find that offer good stuff, but they get lost in the many posts. Linda

| lftipton: I think personally I would stick with the cat's claw sold by companies which specialize in rain forest herbs. So much cat's claw that is sold in the bulk raw state can be bogus (not the correct variety) and have no real medicinal effect. The woman who runs Raintree Nutrition appears to be careful to get the correct species of cat's claw. So while the pound may cost more it is probably worth it. Certainly much cheaper than the TOA free cat's claw made into an extract and then sold. One can make a lot of the tincture from a pound of the herb which would be quite economical. I make tinctures all the time after learning how from a Western herbal course. Quite simple and very economical. The woman who founded Raintree Nutrition healed herself of luekemia. So I am fairly sure she cares about selling quality products. Whole World Botanicals is more expensive, but they too seem to sell quality herbs which are harvested sustainably. tcmgpt13
