Colloidal silver has some very useful properties, in that it can help the body defend itself against bacteria, fungus and PARASITES. It works by deactivating an oxygen carrying enzyme which the single celled organisms use to 'breath', which in turn suffocates the organism. In the case of parasites, it may not kill the parasite itself, but it will KILL ALL THE EGGS, which behave as single celled organisms. April 1994 editorial in the New England Journal of Medicine called for urgent action, including surveillance for early signs of drug resistance and more disciplined use of antibiotics. i know that in the old days put silver nitrate drops in infants eyes. silver, was it used before sulpa drugs the predessors to antibiotics? i think very careful and prudent use of a good silver product can be most beneficial, like bubba has outlined, however i must say for some reason i myself have never used silver. perhaps because had spent too much already. Well, it definitely costs $$$ to experiment, ladycolorado. I live in the tropics and colloidal silver is a must for me, as it is a great preventative.

I live in a malaria/dengue fever area. This AM I awoke with 8 mozzie bites. I immediately sprayed myself with ASAP colloidal silver and within a couple of hours, all signs of being bitten had disappeared. If left on their own the bites would morph into 6” welts that would take over a week to heal – that is if they did not become infected first. It is much easier to prevent a disease then it is to cure one – at least that is what the Chinese traditional medicine doctors tell me.

Maybe that is why they used or use silver in babies eyes - it prevented a good % of them going blind. It is trite BUT it is also true: prevention is indeed the best medicine.

However, tests have shown that mosquito larva are effectively killed by colloidal silver. IT SHOULD BE REMEMBERED THAT TO RID ONESELF OF PARASITES BY KILLING THE EGGS OR LARVAE MEANS THAT ONE MUST CONTINUE THE TREATMENT UNTIL ALL OF THE ADULTS DIE, PROBABLY OF OLD AGE. More research is needed. But if the AIDS or Cancer and other conditions can be effectively treated with colloidal silver, then any effects on parasites is a free benefit.

Colloidial silver is not recommended for continual daily use, this can be toxic. Most products are labeled for around 10 day use, it should be used carefully.

In the following studies the people who were cured of gonorrhea, malaria and such, it is not mentioned if they continued to take ASAP colloidal silver but I somehow doubt that they did… in studies in this section were performed in Ghana, West Africa, at the Air Force Station Hospital under the direction of Dr. Kwabiah, at the KORIE-BU Teaching Hospital under the direction of Sr. Sackey, and at the Justab Clinic/Maternity Hospital under the direction of Dr. Abraham. In total, fifty-eight (5 patients were treated using a composition of the present invention comprising 10 ppm silver. The composition was used both internally and externally as an alternative to traditional antibiotics. The ailments treated included malaria, upper respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, sinusitis, vaginal yeast infections, eye, nose and ear infections, cuts, fungal skin infections, and sexually transmitted diseases, such as gonorrhea.

According to the EPA, who is in charge of defining safe levels of any mineral in water used for ingestion or drinking, the oral consumption of small amounts of silver in water, on a daily basis, poses no significant degree of risk. Unless an individual were constantly consuming (every day for over a year) over 50 times the recommended daily dosage of the ASAP Solution, at 10 ppm, there is literally no possibility of that individual contracting the non-toxic condition called argyria.

Non-Toxicity Test Work Summary

In order to insure not only the best product, but also a safe product, American Silver L.L.C. [American Biotech Labs] hired an independent laboratory to do a toxicology study on the ASAP Solution. The test, called an LD-50 test, was performed in accordance with the guidelines of the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA) Regulations, 16 CFR 1500.

In the test work, the ASAP Solution was given to a number of both male and female test rats. The amount of ASAP Solution given to the rats was 5g/kg, or the equivalent of a 200 pound man taking 192 teaspoons of about 4 full 8 ounce bottles of the ASAP 10ppm solution at one time (the normal adult dosage is one or two teaspoons/day).

As a result of the test work, the independent laboratory made the following conclusion, "Under the conditions of this study, there was no mortality or significant evidence of toxicity observed in the rats. The test article (ASAP Solution) would not be considered toxic at a dose of 5g/kg by oral route in the rat."

Chronic or Serious Conditions
One teaspoon of 10 ppm. colloidal silver equals about 50 micrograms (mcg.) of silver. One to three teaspoons per day (50-150 mcg.) is generally considered to be a "nutritional amount" and is reported to be safe to use for extended periods of time. Amounts higher than this are generally considered "therapeutic amounts" and should only be used periodically.

In cases of illness, natural health practitioners have often recommended taking double or triple the "nutritional amount" for 30 to 45 days, then dropping down to a smaller, maintenance dose. Amounts from 3-32 ounces per day have reportedly been used in acute conditions.

Hello Everyone,
Just fyi, my family (Mom, Dad, dog) all did the silver route..spent lots of $..silver made no difference interally to eradicate this illness..it was good for topical application on sores/lesions..so to new persons, please don't think silver is a cure all to this illness, it is not..this is just our personal experience...wishing health to all...suzzie
