Highlighting and printing problems

I'm having problems highlighting and printing specific posts. I used to be able to highlight what I wanted to print and that's all the information that would print. Now when I try to highlight what I want to print the entire web page highlights and it prints all posts which is several pages. Am I doing something wrong? Has something changed on the website that prohibits printing specific posts? I'm confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

Hello Tabitharose,

I've justed tried it. I highlighted a post and then clicked next to my printer icon, where I could choose 'print preview'.

In print preview I get 2 options at the top of the screen - 'as laid out on the screen' or 'as selected on the screen'.

Choosing option 2 gets the desired result for me. I realise that you may not be working on the same browser.

I'm using Internet Explorer 7

Hi Tabitharose and Jo,

I don't thing you are doing something wrong. I have a very similar problem printing. Can print an entire thread no problem.

However, if Highlight one single post within a thread and select print selection - print result is
a blank white sheet. If select print preview, the entire thread appears - even after
just highlighting one single post. Been happening ever since the new site banner and
upgrade was installed in January or there abouts. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING as my workaround
is to have to highlight a single post, copy it to word, and then print .... a royal pain !

Course, I still do not have the new site banner either - I was logged on during the upgrade and
got hung up & then was "permanately" logged onto site for a few days after the upgrade. Wonder Tabitharose - do you still have the old banner or the new one as it sounds like you used to be able to print a single post (I used to be able to also), but not since the site upgrade.

Maybe our problems are tied in somehow with being hung up during the upgrade? ???

I have no clue what is causing it, but it sure would be nice to get these issues resolved.
I am using Firefox, but have tested this on Internet Explorer and results are the same.

Does anyone else have similar print problems or old banner? Or better yet a solution to the print
and/or banner problems?

This is a conundrum!!

Rocks did ya test it on Internet Explorer 7 and follow my destructions in the print preview window? .......reckon its a Firefox issue.

I feel real stupid right now cause I retraced your steps & wallaaa - performs as advertised ...... if I use I.E.

I prefer firefox ( hard to teach an old dog new tricks + have a kazillion bookmarks stored there). Prior to site upgrade, I previously was able to print just selection - rather than entire post - guess firefox must have changed & introduced a new issue?

..............now........Anyone care to entertain the old banner issue? Any pc whiz folks interested in tackling this? Betcha could solve this without batting an eye.

Boohoohoo, I'm on the outside looking in......just not able to see the pretty new look...feeling left behind..........with an outdated site banner.......would love to look at the site the same way other folks are able to.

Wonder if a "re-set" of my member id would correct the issue & point me to the new banner?
