Default Shocking discovery tonight

I've recently found out that I have Lyme disease. I thought I had contracted it back in 2003, but this new discovery has me wondering. I have a 16 year old son who has had this strange rash on his back for a couple years now. I have taken him in to see the doctor on two different occasions, blood work was done, and I was told it was nothing. Well tonight I broke out in a strange rash on my hands and legs. It looked like little reddish dots almost under my skin. It was flat, not raised. So in my search for answers, I found some information that has me shocked and worried for my son. It's Bartonella! The rash is almost like stretch marks on his back. It's an exact match! My question is, can he have Bartonella without Lyme or is it more likely that he's got Lyme AND Bartonella? My heart just sank when I found this info. I'm so worried for my kids. Who else has Lyme and its coinfections? I have four kids.

My opinion is that neither one of you have either disease but the lab reports might change my opinion. Both of you need to rub on wet salt and leave it on the rash and repeat this 2 times per day and watch it go away. One question Do the marks on your sons back appear to be like tiny long threads uner the skin that extend for long lines?

Default bartonella and lyme

Bartonella is a possible co-infection connected with Lyme. You may have heard of it as cat-scratch fever. See the links below.

Bartonella Further Complivates Lyme Disease | Jenna's Lyme Blog

Lyme Disease Tick-Borne Coinfections

In truth, Polly, all of this just further reinforces my gut feeling that none of us has single, easily defined/diagnosed disease, but most likely a nasty web of coinfections. I think that this may be what Morgellons is. Now, I know that many would disagree with me, but I have found the greatest relief and best results when self-treating with the three-pronged approach of parasitic, bacterial, and fungal.

I am arming myself to go to my PC with a printout of the lyme document you recently posted, as well as a recounting of my self-treating with doxy, which is used widely to treat Lyme. I want a script for the complimentary antibiotics that I cannot obtain easily through onlines sources. I will tell him that either he takes me seriously and helps me, or I will find another doctor who will. I will not mention M. I will also continue the pulsing with antiparasitics, which have indisputedly had a huge, positive effect. And I will also continue the anti-fungals, probably alternating between the niacinamide and olive leaf extract/oregano oils. The latter have had good results as well, but because they are herbal, they take longer to show results. I saw definite positive results after using them consistently on a regular schedule for at least four weeks. I now apply the oregano oil directly to my toe and toenail area, and it is working. The inflammation is lessening and the nail appears to be "alive" again.

I will email you a very interesting link that I have used as a cross-reference to the lyme link you posted. I have modified it a bit re: the anti-parasitics. The anti-parasitics yielded some really significant (and gross) results. But I am very glad to be rid of those unwelcome guests. Because I think my infection is heavily internal and embedded, even those took awhile to show visible evidence, but finally did.

Obviously, I am not nearly as heavily researched as many of the veteran members here, and so I know that many will dispute the above. I can only tell you what is working for me. Also, I can only gauge by how I am feeling, and the physical indicators. Although I know I am not cured, I am feeling better than I have since this whole nightmare started. My symptoms are very greatly reduced. I am thinking more clearly, performing well once again at work, able to have fun and laugh with friends and family once again. I am more relaxed and have far less anxiety.

I think you indicated that there are similarities in our symptoms, so perhaps some of this would work for you too.

Check your email for the link. And again, if you want to discuss any of it, just let me know.

Your focusing on the internal aspects rather than the skin issues has apparently paid off for you as you have made great progress. It may also be true that by relieving the stress that the internal issues have placed on our bodies has subsequently made your skin able to better deal with the M life form. It's long been my perception that when our insides are relieved of this infestation that our PH starts returning to normal and that alone can prevent further lesions from becoming so large. My entire skin surface had been comprimised by the acidic condition that M creates. My skin gets compliments each day now that I'm back to normal. Before it was shiny and almost opaque in appearance and had the white fibers reaching outward under the skin. Here is a pic of a black spot with the white fibers growing outward from the center black spot. This is what's happening under the skins surface.

Default We are not doctors and we do NOT have testing equipment

How easy diagnosis flows from the mouth.

We do have the internet now to show us pictures, pictures are not conclusive diagnosis of anything.

So many afflictions look the same on the flesh, diagnosis by eye is what doctors do today more than half the time and then they throw antibiotics at whatever they think it is.

By throwing diagnosis into the mix you can confuse many people and send them on a frantic search for your ideal diagnosis.

Still, Lyme disease is a good test to get along with many others.

One other item, if this thread is about Lyme, why don't you find your Lyme thread and put it there, It took me quite a while to figure out to go to my statistics and find my post to add new information, or old imformation. LOL.

Thanks, Anne.

The rest of you are WRONG. This is the Lyme forum, not m. My son has no m symptoms. Just a rash, and I say rash because that's what the dr calls it, that looks like stretch marks on his back. No pain, no oozing, no tracks, no fibers. Nothing. It's bartonella. I'm positive because the photo is EXACTLY like the rash. Even my Lyme skeptical husband admitted it.

Baraka, old buddy, I'll get you a diagnosis soon enough, because my son is going in for treatment! I'm also Lyme testing my whole family.
