Comfrey...and a laugh Just bumping up an old thread which does have some discussion of comfrey. This reminds me of a time I used one of the Dr. Christopher herbal formulas I had made myself which contained this herb. It was a formula you make with glycerin as the preservative. Well, I was taking an herbal formula from my TCM friend at the same time and both jars were in the refrigerator. So there I was, fogged with Morgellons. This was back in the early days of my illness) and so I grabbed a jar without looking carefully (this is why you always need to label jars, but even then I managed to mess up). I heated a cup for my morning dose of TCM herbs. Continuing in this fog I drank the cup after heating, wondering the whole time why it was so thick and strong. Wow, did I have some action later in the day...it did not make me get sick but it surely moved a lot out of my body. It looked as if the toilet was full of little white sticks. The glycerin formula was only supposed to be used a fourth of a cup at a time with water added to make a cup. LOL...I lived but...Actually I believe the Christopher formula I mistakenly used (which if made at home is very inexpensive) can help some aspects of Morgellons.
Anyway both comfrey and chaparral (both very stronge herbs) can be used to treat serious illness, but I feel the comfrey is best used in formulas. I do not have time now but will try to add more information later. The chaparral definitely is not a long term herb and is not used in large amounts.
