Default Re: Scabies and D-S-P cream.

I have been unable to get rid of my mom's itching and when I would rub cream on her, my hand broke out in a rash and was so itchy also. Now today, I see what I believe to be scabie tunnels on the sides of my fingers. I am pretty sure my mom has norweigeon scabies now because when I started bathing her, I found a lot of crusting behind her knees, sides and even lower back. Not knowing what it was, I put all kind of things on her and a lot of the crusting is gone, but not all. Beverly, could you please tell me how to go about this. My mom has alzheimer's and must have suffered from itching for a long time by the looks of it, possibly a year or more. She's at home and 86 years old. She also has morgellons and I think she must have gotten these from me, since I had morgellons first. I had gone and got cream back then, but really didn't know what scabies were. Someone told me that you can go blind from ivermectin, which I see is used to treat this kind of scabie and since she is elderly, I don't know what to do. I can't get her to the doctor, she won't go and my brother won't make her because he doesn't want to upset her. Because she doesn't walk well because of her broken hip, I can't do it myself. Can you give me any advice or information? I think these mites have gone inside doing havoc, is that possible? I don't know how to approach this with any doctor because I see the thick skin and crust, but possibly the only burrows could be on the lower leg where it looks very lined and scaly. I really need help. Thanks, Snow.
