Vinegar water has been helping me a lot with external biofilm. It's gradual, but it really takes it off. 1/2 vinegar, 1/2 warm water before I shower.
I can't do the baths a lot of people do; I live in a retirement community. No bathtubs, only showers. The trade-off is no carpeting to deal with in the living area, only the bedroom and closets. There's a walk-in clothes closet that's my "clean room". I have a pair of clean rubber flip-flops just inside the door, never go in with regular shoes on or my hair down or wearing clothes I've worn all day. I know...goofy, huh? Anything that doesn't have to be hung is in plastic zip locks or tubs. I feel like a mad scientist. Oh, and I run my plastic hangers through the dishwasher every once in awhile....
