Hi Jim and crashcourse,

If you are drinking a ton of water and not eating you can pretty much guarantee that unless you take magnesium that you will become deficient. When we lack magnesium it can cause insomnia, irritability agitation, dizziness and muscle twitching/cramping. Magnesium is also very important for a hormone production as well.

Also excessive thirst can be a sign of blood sugar problems which can deplete magnesium as well.

I remember taking a homeopathic sleep aid once. Worst night of sleep ever. I think a lot of it has to do with our chemistry at the moment.

Crashcourse be careful with mixing alcohol with Codeine especially if it contains acetaminophen as it can cause damage to your liver when combined.
