It's sad, but this seems to be the pattern.
These doctors are working out of their area of training when they "diagnose" us as delusional. YEt we never get the medical tests to figure out what this is. Just because they do not know off of the top of their heads, and they have never seen a physical illness like this, they decide it means, the illness is "wrong" and their limited knowledge is "right."
I used to work with mental health patients. If one of my patients had received this type of treatment from a gm medical practitioner I would have had a billion ppl coming down on him/her if necessary and get my person a proper exam. Even mentally ill ppl can have physical illnesses as well - not that we are mentally ill, but even if wer were, the lack of care/testing we receive is atrocious. |
