You know, Marsha, the tragedy of our illness is that most doctors will not try to find out what parasite(s) are involved. Almost no one will look at our specimens and try to find out what exactly we have. Bee is especially interested in the tape worm aspect which could be a part of thiis and currently is using albendazole. I think her plans are to use it for some time, not just the five days that my doctor prescribed for me. Hopefully she will add her thoughts on the tape worm aspect she thinks is involved. I know I am convinced in my own case that I see parasites. Some of the parasites I have seen I am pretty sure were not tapeworms. Still I did have the black specks. Whatever those were they could move. They appeared alive and some crawled under the skin. I ate an undercooked fish which also had the toxin ciguatera. Well, fish have tape worms too, so...I also have seen what I am pretty sure are round worms. And other parasites I cannot identify. Others on the forum are describing parasites too. I think this will at some point be the real scandal about morgellons, that we have been left out here with inadequate studies. I feel at least some parasites could have been identified if anyone really looked and took this seriously (besides Dr. Harvey who did identify some of them--why has everyone else ignored this aspect for the most part?). Parasites may not be the whole picture of Morgellons, but it would be a good place to start treatment. I agree with you that the thought some parasites could be in the brain is not a pleasant thought.
