I agree, TCM. I have never put anything in my ear. The eardrum is very sensitive and I would be afraid of hearing loss. I am NOT recommending zinc in the ears. You could treat the skin in front of and in back of the ear but usually for those areas I just rub ionic zinc (from a tincture bottle).
Putting zinc or other dissolving morg stuff in the ear canal seem dangerous to me.
Barack, I know you have put 35% hydrogen peroxide in the ear without ill effect. I'm thankful you had a good result, but what if someone had a small hole in their eardrum? I just don't know if it's safe for everyone. Some people have permanent perforated eardrums (from childhood or trauma) and don't even know it.
I just think treat AROUND the ear is safer, but we are on our own here, pretty much, so each person has to do what they think is best for them, seeing that no doctors, or almost no doctors, come within 10 feet of us.
