Hi Belle,

I posted about some places to find alternative care in Savannah. I don't know if you have seen it, so will post the link just in case that might give you other places to find other types of practitioners to care about you and your health.

Finding A Doctor To Help (permalink 11)

I am sorry you have had some doctors treat you in a negative way. It does not seem fair, but unfortunately there are a lot of doctors with narrow minds.

I have been lucky in the doctor's I have seen. Some of them have been rated by patients on the internet which helped me make decisions to see them. Just searching under a doctor's name/location often (not always) brings up patient reviews. Sometimes it is enough to get a feeling about the doctor. This has worked for me more than once. Of course the ideal situation would be if you heard from other local people about a doctor and his attitude (open mindedness being one).

I have never had a Morg diagnosis and I never mention it, but my most recent doctor mentioned it himself. One doctor treated me for some infections and it helped. Now I am going to one about digestive issues (he is treating in an alternative way, happily). I try to get what help I can from the doctors and it has helped me improve over time. TCM herbs have helped me too, but I understand what ChatCat means about some acupuncturists being reluctant to treat them. I know at least one former friend acupuncturist did that to me (I know quite a few practitioners from some time spent informally studying TCM). So some will have that reaction about symptoms. I did not say Morg, just parasites.

I try to look at it any rejections as separating the wheat from the chaff. Btw the rejections have come from me when I notice a doctor is not that concerned about me as a patient. I had at least two who seemed too conventional and did not even try to look into my symptoms at the time. I have found some really good care along the way and learned who was truly my friend as far as the acupuncture situation. One friend treated me continuously with TCM herbs for over a year at a reduced cost for my Morg symptoms. There are good people out there, the trick is not giving up and finding them.

I know that eventually you will find someone. Meanwhile I am sorry for you most recent disappointment and hope things look brighter today.
