I think my illness started from eating food which in my case was a fish that also, according to my doctor, had ciguatera, a potent neurotoxin. It was after this that my skin changed and developed lesions. So I personally think, after reading what other members say in many posts on MDR, that there are many ways that Morgellons symptoms can start, not just one or two. Also, there are some people who do have parasites. I did and they were so large there was no question that's what they were. The ones I could see did not look like fibers, although fibers were involved in the lesions too. I also think that some people could get Morgellons from impure water.
Until more research is done though there is no way to know what the common denominator to this illness is. I have long felt a blood parasite could be involved with Morgellons, but I could also say that I think that in some cases there may be parasites in the entire gastrointestinal system (mouth to intestines). Meanwhile where is the research, research, research into this illness?

Very slow in coming, especially now that the economy is so dismal.
