- Microconozole (sp?) or something (OTC - Jock Itch Cream!). WooHoo. I think this was an anti-fungal prescribed by one of my misdiagnosers in 2006, along w/that antibiotic that gave me whole-body hives and made my ears swell up. This felt like ICE on your skin, but it didn't heal what was subcutaneous. Soothing, though.
- My pers. fave: Drawing Salve/Black Tar Salve/Ichthamol. OTC. It's an old Grandma's Gardening remedy for getting thorns and such outta ya (think it also works for glass) - I used a lot of this after the mainstream docs failed me, after the 1st yr.. I think this helped keep IT from embedding deeper in me, not sure (?)
If anyone has active lesions and hasn't used Drawing Salve yet, WOAH. I'd get some bandages and hang on. This yanked stuff out of me, the first time I used it I could feel something pulsating towards the bandage, it was kinda scary. But we need to get IT & all IT's friends out of us, as much as we can, to expedite our healing.
Plus, for those of you w/microscopes and/or photo collections - ya get to see exactly what comes out on the bandage after overnight: Quite Shocking!
One of the more famous researchers/treaters I spoke with along the way confirmed they used Drawing Salve (and they said Tanning, too)...
