Despite someone's active imagination, I do not personally know the acupuncturist I asked about in my post below. I only helped Janice locate an alternative practitioner in her area. She had asked about locating a naturopath which I could not find in her area. However I do know something about acupuncture treatment and TCM so I knew how to search for this type of practitioner. As can be seen from these quoted posts more than one suggestion for locating this type of practitioner were mentioned to Janice, one of whom Janice said she had made an appointment to see. In that way, Janice could (and did) make her own choice of who to see. I hope the person she saw did work out for her, as I had not heard back from Janice about that.

Treatment is from students and usually costs less than acupuncturists charge after graduation. It is sometimes also possible to receive treatment from faculty who are the ones who supervise the students.

Here is one person's testimonial page about her TCM practice. I notice there is an RN on this list who also seems to practice alternative therapies. Also a psychologist and a chiropractor are quoted, so at least some professionals appear to think well of her:

Another way to find alternative practitioners is to talk to people who work in local health food stores. Sometimes they have gone to a good practitioner themselves or have heard some good feedback from customers about someone.
