Your statement: "........Whatever infections we have going on in the gut causes us malabsorption of these vitamins as well....."

I'd like to learn how that happens specificially and how it's known that what is causing infection also causes malabsorption of those vitamins. I know that when I went to Bioset I was told your body could be allergic to certain vitamins and foods and that could be corrected. On the other hand, it could be that whatever is causing the intestinal 'infection' could also be the critters that steal the vitamin B's....

I realize that this is a very complicated science and I'm not trying to simplify the answers. When I see the same things repeatedly, I try to pay attention to the surrounding situation.

I think it's a step in the right direction, at least for me, to find this out about biotin and the b vitamins whether it's parasitic consumption, lack of absorption for whatever reason, both or something else.

Question: how are you using the word 'crisis' in terms of healing? Positive, I hope.

Question: Do you think the injections which supply the B12 will have to be continued indefinitely since you can't absorb through digestive tract? Do they have any idea why your body is not absorbing the B12?

Thanks again,
Kritts
Kritts -

Regarding the "crisis".. At first, I started to stress out because I thought I was getting worse... It seems that my internal symptoms were worsening (brain fog, etc)...and I was purging more easily black specks/threads.. but my acne is clearing more and my skin is starting to look better.. so I think its a movement in the right direction. I think I was at a standstill for a few months - not getting worse but not getting better, and then we discovered the b12 deficiency. My immune system needs this!

I believe the the b12 will not have to be used indefinitely. I found this info on malabsorption:

Malabsorption - failure to get the goodness from food - DoctorMyhill

I got a stool test done, and they found moderate amounts of some type of mold, trace amts of yeast, and moderate amts of pathogenic bacteria in my gut. This overgrowth apparently has caused some damage to my intestinal tract lining.. and this is contributing to food intolerances (leaky gut?). Within an hour of eating an offensive food, my skin will break out in rashes. They also noted insufficient digestive enzymes in my test, so I'm not digesting everything properly. My doc believes that if I can reduce the infections and repair the intestinal lining (glutamine, vitamin C), many of my food allergies should go away and I'm guessing the malabsorption problems will too...

I'm still learning about all of this... but if you haven't had a stool test done - get one! I heard Great Plains Laboratories offers a good one, and they will even tell you what treatments should work for the pathogens they find (they even give you info on natural herbs as well as pharmaceuticals from what I hear):
Comprehensive Stool Analysis
