OK, I am making a shopping list to day. I actually already have the horseradish and i will try it both ways. I am glad because I need to find new alternatives to the healthy dressings I was buying because I found out they still ahve a few undesirable ingredients.
Now, does anybody have any good olive oil salad dressing recipes? I used to put olive oil on all my salads and sprinkle "Salad Seasoning" on it - this Canadian manufactured brand. Now I know it has some bad chemicals so I stopped getting it. I'm trying to find a substitute I can make myself. Maybe somethign w/garlic, cilantro, parsley, salt, pepper< and oil blended up.. like Bobby Flay. Maybe some peppers. I am trying to find somethign really good like the spice taste, but I think that had cheese too... I'm not sure.
Also, I think I figured out another reason my soup is not so great...I was using already chopped up white onions. REcently, per teh store ppl advice I bought yellow onions and used it in a chicken soup like thing I made last night. YUK! I finally realized it is the onions that are so gross.
What if I used red onions for soup? I know I like them broiled w meat. Is that the kind I should use in your soup recipe when I try it, Kritters? |
