Hellalone... My dog is my baby, so when I came down with this, I got really scared and did everything I could to be sure my dog did not come down with this.. I did give her DE by mixing it with wet food and also then mixing in her dry food. She loved it, but she ended up gaining weight...
It did not hurt her in the least bit. I also would rub DE in her fur, being careful so she would not inhale it. I would not put it in her ears.. but I found some natural ear oil made just for dogs with tea tree oil in it. She hated it, but I felt safe using it because it was designed for dogs. When my panic was over, I realized that she was going to be ok, and have since stopped giving her DE. I still watch for signs, but feel that my skin has improved quite a bit and I'm no longer worried about passing this on...
