Hi Peoples!!!
Jenna, I've read some other Morgellon's victims saying they thought ppl itched around them...As far as us Morgies being contagious, I have spoken or emailed with 3 folks who say their kids were born with Morgellon's from them (1 dad, 2 diff. moms) and a nurse who said she thought that it was def. possible - I think our bloodstream is contaminated, but I don't think it sounds like it's airborne from us. We just don't know for sure yet...(I'm not gonna give blood until we know, anyway)
I contracted Morgellon's cleaning up litter on 03/25/06. I've since stayed on vacations with family/shared bathrooms/close quarters, I was nervous even going near my family's dog, at first - I think when we see members of a household/family infected - I feel it's because they contracted it in the same fashion (my theory: pesticide) or from an infected parent, when they were born.
I've been rather "close" with 2 guys since the above date...All in all, I'd say I felt like I put at least 15 people inc. family, at risk. I was scared to even go around anyone for a while. I have watched them all like a hawk, because I would never want anyone else to have to go though this, especially someone I care about. Honestly, Jenna: not one person I've been close to has shown 1 symptom. 1 of the guys I dated in 2007 is an author, doctor, real estate developer - a total genius of a hero who helped me get through the horror of finding all this out: He's fine. I check on him, still. I'm sure he went and read more/asked peers, he is mainstream med. and hates the naturo-cleansing-vits vs. Big Pharma. He likes making big money too much to risk his brain or bod, so him still wanting to spoon during our many sleepovers tells me the risk was minimal. None of my people have shown 1 single symptom.
Don't isolate yourself/make this scarier or harder that it already is: Be good to yourself. If you do have Morgellon's, you're going to need support. Carry on with everything normal that you always did, keep yourself in good spirits, don't let people (or bad docs) bring you down...if you try to talk to them about Morgellon's and they treat you shabbily, I just end the conversation and don't discuss it with them again. Perhaps they'll catch on someday.
I will say this: I have never seen people be there for each other like Morgellon's Victims. We have gotten each other through and I am really proud of us all for being there for each other! Thank you to those who support your fellow victims and good folks like our site-host!
I would like to hear from the folks who want to take ACTION: I've seen a few folks on here speakin' my language - RIGHT ON: We've waited long enough for the U.S. CDC (Centers for Disease Cover Up) to produce results. Let's FORCE some results. I now have to worry that I shouldn't have kids. I'm tired of letting the lives of others be ruined. Please mail me: Let's organize.
On a pleasant note: I am healing like Shock and Awe. I read Vitamin D wards off Swine Flu, so I started taking it around Thanksgiving for that and was FLOORED when I realized it was doing something amazing for Morgellon's. I've taken a lot of herbs, cleanses and two evil antibiotics since 03/2006 - I'd throw it ALL in the garbage vs. what Vit D has done since around Xmas. Has anyone taken huge amounts of Vitamin D yet or am I the first willing guinea pig? I knew I felt better each time I hit the tanning bed!
Keep up the Good Work of being there for each other/thank you to non-victims who research, fight for and support us...
