Hi Dave,
The difference to me is no difference. I think acne is really a lesion caused by fungus and some bacteria. Or could be a cutaneous virus.
If it gets a blackhead with underlying puss, it's just probably a 'pimple' caused by over-active sebaceous glands and sometimes hormones are involved.
I no longer go by text-book definition on most things after learning so much as a result of getting these organism inflictions.
Of course doctors hadn't told us that most dandruff is actually fungus. Or that desenex for baby rash is actually for FUNGUS. Just so much we are finding out that they want to keep cryptic so THEY can make the money off of expensibe drugs.
If you squeeze and no puss comes out, it's a lesion caused by Morgs or other skin/system invasions.
