Posey,
Burlington Coat Factory is the place I went to in person to buy a coat. There were lots that were $20, but WITHOUT EXCEPTION when I TOUCH or RUB the lining I can see:

1. TINY white specs
2. TINY white longer fibers start to emerge and even "jump" or "hop" in response to me sometimes. I don't know if they hop from some atypical static type of response, but I suspect they are variant of the worm - probably the worm cocooning in the filler stuff.

I did find only a few coats without the contamination but they were high quality and very expensive. Because I've spent all my money on this I could not buy one.

I finally did break down in desperation and get one that did not look too bad from Ross Dress For Less. But sure enough, after wearing it only one day I could see the tiny clear and tiny white fuzzies. After a few days they get longer. I'm sure they are nematodes.

I also bought the cute pink one I mentioned above, but it had the black worms in it.

So, I would suggest being careful about the coats!!!!

As I mentioned, the top of the line hypoallergenic pillow case I bought for myself works WONDERS. I have been told there is bedding made the same way. Maybe you can find some of those. When I can afford it I will try that too.
