Has anyone tried ionic silver as a surface disinfectant?
You can make it yourself dirt cheap, and it kills over 650 molds, fungi, bacteria, and virii.
I don't know for sure if it would work on what you are trying to kill, but if you want to try it.... THIS IS A VERY CRUDE, CHEAP METHOD TO MAKE IONIC SILVER COLLOID, DO NOT USE THIS INTERNALLY, FOR DISINFECTANT USE ONLY
Take three 9 volt batteries and wire them in series, (positive to negative)
get 2 pieces of .999 silver wire, if you get small gauge its cheap and you can twist them together. Hook 1 battery wire to each of the silver wire pieces and place them in distilled water in a quart jar for about 60 minutes. Shake the jar every so often, and switch the battery wires around every 10 minutes. You will get a little flaking on the bottom of the jar... (its cool , when you change leads you blow the oxide build up off the electrode)
Store in a dark place. It will turn yellowish after a day or so.. this is normal.
Like I said absolutely do not drink this. It has larger particles than is desirable for internal use.... it is however a dandy and effective household disinfectant. |
