Hi Dragonfly 1 ... I am a newbie to the site and found your pics and the extractions-symptoms look 'similar' to what I have been experiencing.

Do you have a lot of pain associated with the fingers where the black specks are? Do you have lesions around the joints?

I am curious, as the lesions I have occur around the edge of my nails, cuticles, and on the joints of the fingers. I am able to pull long filaments of white plastic from around my nails. I also have the black specks growing through the nails but not on all fingers. One dermatologist in particular brought my attention to the dark long growths embedded in my nails.
