I ended up going to the hospital for a couple of days.
I was only in the ER and they gave me a referral to an infectious disease doctor who will hopefully be of some help.
I considered that it might be an allergic reaction, but I knew it was not because I have felt them going up and down my throat for weeks. then on thursday they really started burrowing in or doing something painful. I know people have suffocated from worms coming up their their throat and cutting off the oxygen. So i was definitely afraid of that when the swelling kept increasing.
Listerine helped me gargle out a few. The doctor at the hospital could not get them out and did not know what it was. (I saved 2 dried ones to show him.)
But maybe the next doctor can give me some relief. In the meantime the Listerine keeps getting a few out here and there. Nothing else I tried would do it - even the salt. And if it gets hard to breathe again all I can do is go back to the ER. |
