LOL, SS, it could happen...My impression was that Schaller seemed to think he alone wrote the book which has Shoemaker listed as the lead author.

As far as Morgellons "researchers" sometimes I think that there should be a gate which is marked "leave your egos, all ye who enter here" before they are ever allowed to even see a Morgellons patient.

Maybe Savely and Stricker wonder where Harvey is too and have quietly left MRF? It is a mystery not to hear anything from the lead author of this recent article, for over a year now. Even more mystifying is that parasites have been so downplayed in this article when Harvey seemed to have found (in some Morg patients) and identified at least some of the parasites.

Anyway I hope this sentence from the conclusion of the Morgellons article somewhat reassures you and others. Although this study is not definitive it is a start (guess we have to take what we can get):

"Since infectious agents can initiate
and maintain chronic diseases, the behavioral and other
CNS manifestations here are more likely effect than cause
[18]. We suggest that the Morgellons label be considered
to displace any label suggesting delusion as the primary
cause of this phenomenon."

So they are clear DOP does not cause this disease process.
