 Mold Around House

Your post really caught my attention. Are you well informed about mold/fungus in homes?
We have a deck which can be walked onto and is located right off the dining area. Actually about 5 ft. from me right now, and of course on a day as today the door is open. I'm currently watching Animal Planet.
When it rains the deck is totally slimy and spots of the deck are green slimy. To me this means it's moldy. I also believe we have a mold issue with our basement because when we have had heavy rains the cement walls get wet and damp and it has that musty smell. I told a derm. about these issues and he was concerned and ordered a chest x-ray, which turned up normal. But the type fungus which they are looking for I think is Aspergillus (sp).
As you go down into our basement if your turn and look at he steps there is all this fiber stuff connected together hanging from behind them. I believe, but do not know, they are "M" fibers.
I have also noticed fibers on the edges of wood doors. Actually I am going to start this wood door thing in a new thread to see if it brings attention to anyone else re their living environment.
