The 1st video was really informative and explained to me more of what nanotechnology really is. Though what they work with is so so small, it is still a bit difficult to fully understand.
What I did notice are those black arm things and how the researchers do protect themselves cuz they know the nano can invade human cells. Also interesting was that they actually had "rules" for the disposal of the nano waste.
I often wonder that is why so much of our polluted Earth is polluted because way back (even after the mandufacturing disposal laws) ... many companies tried to get around paying the disposal fees for their waste (not necessarily nano) by using the public lakes and streams.
Where I grew up in NW Indiana, there was Lever brothers who made soap, and many steel mills and plastic companies. As a young girl, I remember my grandmother taking me to Wolf Lake but we coud no longer swim cuz it was polluted. Then they actually drained the lake it was so toxic.
If anyone ever heard of the famous murder Leopold & Loeb from Chicago way back in the 30's? or 40?s, these two young wealthy college students wanted to know what it was like to kill a human being. So they pick up a young boy from school and drove over into Indiana to Wolf Lake. I saw the Leopold & Loeb story on a documentary and the long trial and how they solved the mystery of the boys death.
Back to the nano, I can see how easily it can easily pollute and infect the world. I tried to watch the 2nd video but the man couldn't keep my attention. I probably will go back and fast forward to to point where he talks about NANO consequences. |
