I was thinking last night about this... usually, when you go to the doctor... you say, 'doc, my knee hurts'... or whatever. You tell them what's wrong and they try to fix it.
The only thing I can think of is - if you can't tell them exactly what's wrong, and when we try - it defies all 'reality'... this puts us in a 'mentally off' place as their only diagnosis? Well, I ask you, do you mistreat a 'mental' patient because they are 'mental'? (Not that we are!!!)
Their procedures, according to the AMA, state that they are to rule out that anything 'real' is happening before they assign the "DOP" label. Which they have not done with people with Morgellons. |
I went to the eye DR with a piece of glass growing out of the inside of my right upper eyelid. I explained exactly what was happening, and that it basically needed amputation...It was so embedded in the tissue. It was scraping my eyeball and I had to keep my eye taped shut, so as not to move it.
when I explained, she just stared right into my eyes, and said " I cannot work with that". She waited...I re phrased....I said " I have something in my eye".
She examined, looked a little shocked, and "amputated" the glass shard from my eye. she prescribed steroid ointment. I never used it. just over the counter antibiotic drops.
She wouldnt TOUCH me until I said it her way....
