Hi Katinka,
I read your post about oligosaccarides. Very interesting stuff. However, we need specifics on how oligosaccarides INHIBIT THE FORMATION OF THE ADHESIVE TRAPS IN ARTHROBOTRYS. (I am not that much on "science", believe it or not, so bear with me---
arthrobotrys is a genus, and there are different species within that genus. Isn't that how it works?) Anyways, I think we have 2 different species of arthrobotrys.

Why?

Reference Kammy picture of trophozite (what does that word mean?) wearing necklace.
That's a nematode, not a trophozite (whatever that is) -- How do I know this?
Because of it's necklace. This is a type of trap used by arthrobotrys called the CONSTRICTING LOOP.

Please watch this movie:

Nem-Trap Fungi

Another type of arthrobotrys uses STICKY KNOBS - Reference Kammy's pictures.

Wish I knew how to just put it in this post - don't know how - can someone tell me how? - not urgent.
