Default another new discovery in the fungus family

Hello everyone,
In the sunday telegram of worcester,ma there was an article about the Asian long horned beetles from china they discovered in the trees in worc, they discovered the beetles were around for at least 10 yrs without being detected.another discovery by a penn state researcher who released information last year about a discovery in the little-known fungus in the bugs gut helps break down lignin,a natuaral polymer that helps plants stay upright and protects them from moist forms of microbial attack.Mr geib and his fellow researchers are still trying to determine exactly how the beetle breaks down lignin in healthy trees.he said it is likely a consortium of microbes works with the fungus.it is also reported that 75% of insects carry a bacteria with them don't you guys think its so scary how they keep discovering new genus forms of bacteria?
Best
Robin
