About scalp lesions....
First, I'm wondering if any of you who go into a crowd and see others itching and scratching and think it's because of your Morgs, have actually seen something come off your body and jump onto others, or is it an assumption?
Second, isn't it interesting that a "flea" shampoo works on the scalp (and probably would if people bathed in it all over the body) since Jo is working on the 'fly' end of this mystery.
I've mentioned this before about two friends of mine who are nurse practitioners (which in most cases know more than doctors...but still have the pretty much same mentality toward this). They BOTH have scalp 'lesions' and one went to a Derm who told her it was 'stress'. That just blows my steam engines when I hear that. Same as...all in your head, kinda. So she want to another and I forget what lame thing she gave her, but she is still attacking those 'healed now' scalp lesions. Then I saw this one the other night, and asked how the other one was doing with her lesions, and she replied, "horribly. Now, HER'S is NERVES".....unbelievable, isn't it? This one's couldn't have been nerves, but because the other one has them and is going through a rough time with her spouse these days...well....THAT means her lesions ARE from nerves.
My take is that the nerves may make someone pick at themselves, but that doesn't explain why they are there in the first place.
EXCEPT on a deeper level of scrutiny......stress causes acid and acid will bring out the lesions (along with other factors) but the lesions aren't magical symptoms of stress....they are physiological manifestations of actual organisms coming out of the body.
She did do a biopsy or culture I think, so I'll remember to ask what they came up with.
