A Merry Christmas and God bless all of you, all of you on the good earth. This joyous Christmas Eve message broadcast from the manned space mission, Apollo 8, 40 years ago today touched millions of hearts worldwide. Even after the passage of so much time it seems a miracle that these three men reached the moon to circle it 10 times before safely returning to Earth:
