I may have mentioned in the past that I have that ugly little larvae in my scope pictures with the fibers, too. But oddly, never had any flies of any kind that I know of.
Here's another thought to ponder: I just pulled out a reddish and a blue clump of lint (wink wink) from the matteress cover the other day and scoped them for the heck of it. Boring day
